Step 1: Book Your Session
Getting on our calendar is simple. You can choose the method that makes you feel most comfortable:
- Call or Text Us: Reach out at 863-288-0390. If we don’t answer, leave a message and we will call you back within 24 hours.
- Online Booking: Click the “Book a Session” button on our homepage to see available times and select one that fits your schedule.
- Email: Send us a note at support@polktechadvocates.com with a brief description of what you’d like to learn.
Step 2: Get Your “Tech Kit” Ready
You don’t need to do any “homework” before we arrive, but having these items handy will help us make the most of our time:
- Your Device: Have your smartphone, tablet, or laptop out and ready.
- Power Cables: Make sure your device is plugged in or that your charger is nearby.
- Your Passwords: If you have a notebook or list where you keep your passwords (like your Apple ID, Google, or Email password), please have it accessible.
- A List of Questions: Many seniors find it helpful to jot down 2 or 3 things they’ve been struggling with so we don’t forget to cover them.
Step 3: What to Expect During Our Visit
We pride ourselves on being patient, professional, and jargon-free. Here is how a typical session goes:
- The Greeting: We’ll start by chatting about what you want to accomplish today. There is no such thing as a “silly” question.
- Side-by-Side Learning: We won’t just grab the device and do it for you. We’ll show you how it works and then let you practice while we guide you.
- Notes for Later: If we cover a complex process, we can help you write down simple, step-by-step instructions so you can remember how to do it once we leave.
- A Relaxed Pace: We move at your speed. If we need to go over something five times, that is exactly what we will do.
